Dewey Cox Schilitz Beer Ad

The work is inspired by "Walk Hard-The Dewey Cox Story".
The movie is really funny. Even though it was an assignment, it became one of my favorite movies.
We were asked to design something that will be posted on Dewey's memory wall.
I felt that Dewey would act as a Schilitz Beer prolocutor back in 60s, so I made this ad.

Illustration for ipad

Ipad has created a brand new way of reading for the users. We are able to rotate it around to see the interactive image/text. So in this project, I did editorial illustrations for the purpose of rotating.
The article I chose to do is The Web Shatters Focus, Rewires Brain by Nicholas Carr. You can read the article by clicking the link below.

Little Matching Animals

This is a concentration game. There are 30 pairs of animals, 1 pair of cards include 1 b/w and 1 colorful animal. Any number of people can play this game at the same time. The way to play this is to display all the cards on a surface, facing down. Two cards are flipped face up over each turn. When a person find two identical animals, he/she can collect the cards and make them 1 point. Who gets the highest point wins.

Heroine: Art of Chinese Majesty 誰云巾幗不英雄

This is a book I made for Gayle's Drawing for Illustration. When I was asked to come up with a concept for my book, I wanted to introduce the majestic women in Chinese history. I learned about these women's story since I was young; what they had done really inspired me. Their wisdom, courage, confidence, contribution and moral attitudes made them true heroines.

Being alien in aliens-term4 Portraiture

I had some kind of addiction with aliens around term4 and 5.
The paintings are about the guy and his little hedgehog try to fit in the culture that they are not belong to.
The most challenging thing about the paintings was probably painting the same alien over and over again. How I love the duplicating function in photoshop!!!!!!!!!!

Image and idea-term4

Love this class!!!!! We were encouraged to think out of the box, and it was really fun!!!!
